Under the direction of Dr. George Case, the NCS will perform its 2018 Spring Concert, "Harmony". "Harmony" will be a first for NCS in offering an exciting newer version of Mozart's beloved
Requiem, as completed by eminent Harvard University musicologist and Mozart scholar, Professor Emeritus Robert Levin.
We will pair this work with music of maverick 18th century Czech composer Jan Dismas Zelenka, known for his harmonic inventiveness and exceptional counterpoint.
"Harmony" will be performed by more than 140 voices of the Newburyport Choral Society, four professional Boston-based vocal soloists, and accompanied by a 17-piece orchestra.
Please join NCS as we present one of the most memorable and important works in the choral canon, and venture into lesser known but equally intriguing 18th century music!
Ticket Information: All seats are general admission. Tickets may be picked up starting 1 hour prior to the performance.
