Our series kickoff concert features the one and only Hanneke Cassel who has dazzled audiences all over the world with her tender, playful, and ferocious fiddling, interpreting the most traditional of Scottish repertoire interspersed with her own remarkable and lyrical compositions. Hanneke will be performing alongside her longtime accompanist and Berklee friend, Chris Lewis on guitar. On cello, Tristan Clarridge, five-time Grand National Fiddle Champion and multi-style cellist extraordinaire-most recently of internationally acclaimed progressive-bluegrass phenom band, Crooked Still and The Bee Eaters. This is a concert not to be missed. Of Hanneke's latest album, Alex Monaghan in "Folk World," says,
"The rich variety (heard here) allows 'Trip to Walden Pond' to sound like an Edwardian drawing-room soiree, a modern concert hall performance, an intimate traditional session, and everything in between....Hanneke Cassel once again shows herself to be one of the finest and freshest fiddlers on either side of the Atlantic".
